Recovery support for the space between treatment and independent living.

Hope Works at the Shore provides non-clinical, community-based support for adults in recovery across Sea Bright, Long Branch, and Red Bank—helping people rebuild stability, skills, and connection after treatment.

WHO WE ARE

Walking alongside people in recovery.

Hope Works at the Shore is an independent nonprofit supporting adults in recovery from substance use disorder across Sea Bright, Long Branch, and Red Bank, New Jersey.

We are not a treatment program. We offer the practical support that often comes after treatment: peer connection, employment readiness, financial wellness, resource navigation, and community support.

Our focus is the critical period when someone is no longer in crisis care but not yet fully stable on their own.

WHY IT MATTERS

Treatment may end, but recovery still needs support.

Substance use remains a serious public health challenge in Monmouth County. While overdose deaths have declined in recent years, many residents leave treatment with nowhere local to turn for the practical, day-to-day support that sustains recovery.

We help bridge that gap with practical, relationship-based support—turning early recovery into lasting stability.

ROOTED IN THE COMMUNITY

Led by community. Built on relationships.

Our founder and leader, Michael Turner, organizes the annual Fall Freedom Festival in Sea Bright—a regional recovery event that brings together recovery organizations, treatment providers, community groups, local government, and residents.

Recent festival partners have included Hope Sheds Light, JBJ Soul Kitchen, the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office Hope One program, and area healthcare organizations.
